I have some answer for this I just bought a JVC HDR1 car stereo and had it installed. I personal a Creative Sleek Photo MP3 player and would like it installed. They couldn’t just hook the RCA into it, so they had to use some thing else. I am not acquiring full sound in the rear speakers. Yes, you will have to purchase an adapter especially for your head unit and the mp3 player. go to the manufacturer website and appear for the accessory. With this adapter like the a single for iPod, you can control the mp3 player from your head unit.
