I am interested in bullet cameras and the small dome cameras. Do any of these varieties of cameras typically get a very good night time issue at night with out zooming in.
I am talking the normal run of the mill camera you see on the buildings, like the court home, bank, apartment building, mall, do they generally get excellent night time pictures.

I answered you second post – but no camera can focus/zoom like the human eye without an individual making it do the functions. Most cameras are set to show a particular scene in a fixed position – like a bank teller camera where an image is put into a fixed position – this is for optimum image and resolution. What you are searching for or asking about is a camera that can do this across a broad field – not feasible to my expertise. Cameras can be set to deliver an image in a given limited field of vision with wonderful results – but from a pole or area that covers a large field of view is not achievable.

No. Unless the area is well lit. Black and White cameras are recommended for night time which will give you a better glimpse of the subject. Color cameras are recommended for day time use.
